“We’re All Different But We’re All Kitty Cats” is a heartwarming story promoting bullying prevention and friendship. Following the book’s success, we developed a free accompanying curriculum. This curriculum serves as an excellent resource and conversation starter for teachers and parents to discuss this important issue that affects all children.

Free K-2 Bullying Prevention Curriculum

Children need adult support to effectively prevent and stop bullying. Our free curriculum provides five comprehensive lesson plans and a teacher’s guide to help educators, parents, and other adults start meaningful conversations and lead engaging social-emotional learning activities with students. All necessary resources and printouts are included, and the lessons work with or without the book.

The curriculum is built around this picture book. It tells the story of Carlos, a kitty cat who is bullied on his first day of school for not having fur. Fortunately, Carlos makes new friends who help him overcome the bullying and feel valued. The book addresses important topics for young readers, including self-confidence, empathy, fear, and friendship.
